Comparison review
The Galaxy M31 has an overall score of 86.5, which is just a bit better than Galaxy M40's 85 score. Even though the Galaxy M31 is a better cellphone than Galaxy M40, we must tell that it is also a somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier cellphone. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy M31 has the newer 11 version while Galaxy M40 has Android 10, so it provides the user some additional features and enhanced performance.
Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy M40. Both have the same number of cores and 6 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy M31 features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 2340px, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a quite bigger display.
Galaxy M40 features a superior storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M31, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy M40 also has 64 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photography, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a much higher resolution camera in the back and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a way better battery duration than Galaxy M40, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 3500mAh.
