Comparison review
The Galaxy M31s has a global score of 88, which is a little bit better than Galaxy M40's overall score of 85. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Galaxy M31s has newer 11 version while Galaxy M40 has Android 10, so it gives you some extra features and improved performance. Although Galaxy M31s is newer than Galaxy M40, it is somewhat thicker and heavier.
Galaxy M40 and Galaxy M31s count with extremely similar displays, because although the Galaxy M31s has a just a bit inferior pixels number per inch of display, it also counts with a little bit bigger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy M31s features a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy M40. Both have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores.
Samsung Galaxy M31s and Galaxy M40 both have very similar storage capacity for games and applications, they have the same internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy M31s counts with a way better battery duration than Galaxy M40, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 3500mAh.
Galaxy M31s takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy M31s also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor shooting way better quality photos and a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
