Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M40 is just a bit better than Sony Xperia 5, with an 85 score against 81. Although the Samsung Galaxy M40 and Sony Xperia 5 were only released 4 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy M40 body is a little thinner but also just a little heavier than Sony Xperia 5. The Sony Xperia 5 has a little sharper screen than Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little greater display pixel density and a little bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution.
The Xperia 5 has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy M40. Both have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor. Xperia 5 and Samsung Galaxy M40 count with very similar storage to install applications and games, they have an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and exactly the same internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with just a little better battery duration than Xperia 5, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh. Galaxy M40 features a superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light photography and video and a tinier camera sensor offering a lower image quality, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a camera with a much better 32 mega pixels resolution.
