Apple iPhone X has an overall score of 88.1, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note9's score of 87.1. Although the Apple iPhone X is older than the Samsung Galaxy Note9, it's design is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. Apple iPhone X counts with a bit better screen than Galaxy Note9, although it has a little smaller screen, a little worse pixels quantity per screen inch and a lot lower resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels.
The Apple iPhone X features a bit faster processor than Galaxy Note9, because although it has an inferior number of slower cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit. The Galaxy Note9 has just a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPhone X, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Galaxy Note9 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Apple iPhone X, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a camera in the back with a 12 MP resolution and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy Note9 also has a bigger camera aperture and a bigger sensor taking better quality photos.
The Galaxy Note9 has a way better battery lifetime than iPhone X, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although iPhone X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the iPhone X, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Note9, letting go some specs and features.
