The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a general score of 87.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note9's global score of 87.1. Google Pixel 4a 5G's design is newer, a little thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy Note9. Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit better performance than Google Pixel 4a 5G. They have 8 processing cores and a 6 GB RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a little sharper display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, a just a little higher pixel count in each inch of display and a little larger display. Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a very superior storage to install applications and games than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Google Pixel 4a 5G's camera is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Note9's camera, because although the Google Pixel 4a 5G has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the same back-facing camera sensor size and the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, it also counts with a better resolution back facing camera.
The Galaxy Note9 features just a little bit longer battery performance than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3885mAh.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Note9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Pixel 4a 5G, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Note9, giving up some specs and features.
