The Galaxy Note9 is a newer phone than the Huawei Mate 8, but it is just a little bit heavier and thicker. The Galaxy Note9 has a bit faster processor than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note9 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Galaxy Note9 counts with a better looking display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little bit bigger display, a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a greater pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 shoots clearer photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back-facing camera with lot less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video definition and a lot larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light images and video.
