Huawei Mate X2 is slightly better than the Galaxy Note9, having a score of 89.1 against 87.1. Although Huawei Mate X2 is notably heavier than Galaxy Note9, it's just a little thinner and also incredibly newer. The Huawei Mate X2 features a little faster processor than Galaxy Note9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has 2 GB more RAM.

Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a much smaller screen and a little bit worse 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixel density. The Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has worse video frame rates and a way tinier camera aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs or video in low light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a back camera with a lot better resolution.

Galaxy Note9 features a slightly better memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has just 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei Mate X2 features a little longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has a 13 percent more battery size.

Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Note9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy Note9, resigning a couple features and specifications.
