Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note9 is just a bit better than Huawei P40, getting an 87.1 score against 86.4. Even being the best we are comparing, we must note that it is also an older, somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker cellphone. The Huawei P40 has a processing unit that is very similar to the processor in Samsung Galaxy Note9, they have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount.

Galaxy Note9 counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei P40, because it has a bit larger display, a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and a just a bit greater display pixels density. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note9 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB.

The Galaxy Note9 has just a little better battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Huawei P40 takes better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has a much smaller camera aperture which is worse for taking images and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same 60 fps video frame rate and the same video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot bigger sensor capturing way better quality photographs and a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Although Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note9, else you can save some dollars and get the Huawei P40, giving up some specs and features.
