Comparison review

The Xperia 5 II has a global score of 87.2, which is a bit better than Galaxy Note9's 87.1 score. Xperia 5 II's design is extremely newer, somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy Note9. The Galaxy Note9 features a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a bit larger display, a better 1440 x 2960px resolution and a just a little greater number of pixels in each screen inch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 and the Sony Xperia 5 II count with similar CPUs, and although the Sony Xperia 5 II has more RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a little bit better memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note9, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1000 GB.

Xperia 5 II counts with a battery duration that is very similar to Galaxy Note9's battery performance. The Sony Xperia 5 II shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have a 12 mega pixels resolution back camera and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia 5 II also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor capturing way higher quality videos and photographs and better video frame rate.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Note9. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note9, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
