Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has an overall score of 87.1, which is much better than Xperia Z5's 77.6 general score. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note9 is much newer than the Xperia Z5, it is somewhat thicker and heavier. Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a bit faster processing unit than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
Xperia Z5 counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy Note9, although it has a much lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, a little smaller display and a just a bit less pixels per screen inch. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z5, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 counts with a really longer battery life than Xperia Z5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Sony Xperia Z5 captures a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light captures and videos and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with a bigger sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs and a way higher 23 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a little more expensive than the Xperia Z5, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
