The Galaxy Note9 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having an 87.1 score against 77.5. The Galaxy Note9 design is newer and just a bit lighter, but also somewhat thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Galaxy Note9 has a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a same size display, the Galaxy Note9 also has a way better 1440 x 2960px resolution and a better number of pixels per inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy Note9 also has a larger amount of RAM.

The Galaxy Note9 takes a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and a same resolution back-facing camera, the Galaxy Note9 also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rates, a larger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a lot bigger camera aperture.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with improved battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has a 33 percent bigger battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
