The Galaxy A5 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S II, with a 72.4 score against 66. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A5 has the newer 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy S II has Android 4.1.2, so it offers a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy A5 has a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy S II, because although it has a worse graphics processing unit running at 450 megahertz, it also counts with 2 more cpu cores, more RAM and a 64-bits processing unit. Samsung Galaxy A5 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy S II, because it has a lot better resolution of 1280 x 720, a better pixel density and a larger display.
Samsung Galaxy S II captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5, although it has a back facing camera with a much lower 8 megapixels resolution and a worse video definition. Samsung Galaxy S II counts with more memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy A5, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory capacity.
