The Galaxy Z Flip has a global score of 88.5, which is just a bit better than Xperia 5's overall score of 81. Although Galaxy Z Flip and Xperia 5 were released with only 5 months difference, the Galaxy Z Flip construction is thinner but somewhat heavier. The Xperia 5 features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Z Flip, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixels number in each inch of screen.
The Xperia 5 has a bit bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip features just a little better hardware performance than Xperia 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 5 percent larger battery capacity. Galaxy Z Flip counts with a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have a same resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy Z Flip also counts with better video frame rate and a bigger camera sensor.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is a lot more expensive than the Xperia 5, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
