Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 III is just a bit better than the Galaxy M31, having a global score of 90.5 against 86.5. These phones use the same Android 11 OS. The Sony Xperia 5 III is a newer cellphone, and it's also lighter and a little thinner than the Galaxy M31. Galaxy M31 has a screen that's very similar to the Sony Xperia 5 III one, because although the Galaxy M31 has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a little bit worse number of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a bit larger display.
The Sony Xperia 5 III features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy M31, because it has more internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds up to 1 TB. Xperia 5 III features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy M31, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 5 III also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy M31 takes much better pictures and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light images and worse video frame rates, and they both have a same size camera sensor and the same video resolution, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a lot more MP camera in the back.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 has better battery duration than Xperia 5 III, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
