Sony Xperia XZ2 has a global score of 79.1, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S7 edge's 78.1 general score. Although the Sony Xperia XZ2 is way newer than Galaxy S7 edge, it is noticeably thicker and noticeably heavier. Sony Xperia XZ2 features a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also has a higher number of cores (and faster).
The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a way lower 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a just a bit lower screen density, it also counts with a quite bigger screen. Xperia XZ2 has a little bit better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photos or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, faster video frame rate and a back camera with a way higher resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 features a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has just a bit better battery performance than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 13% more battery size.
