Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M40 is slightly better than Xperia XZ3, getting an 85 score against 79.6. Even though Samsung Galaxy M40 and Xperia XZ3 were only released 8 months apart, Samsung Galaxy M40 is lighter and incredibly thinner. Both phones in this comparison review have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and Xperia XZ3 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a greater display density and a higher 1440 x 2880 resolution. The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a bit better processing power than Galaxy M40, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Galaxy M40 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy M40 also has 128 GB internal storage. The Galaxy M40 counts with a slightly better camera than Xperia XZ3, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor shooting worse quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a lot higher resolution back camera and a larger camera aperture to take better photography in low-light environments.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a bit longer battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3330mAh.
