Comparison review

The Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Huawei P20's 78.1 general score. Despite being the best device in this comparison review, Xperia Z5 Premium's construction is incredibly older, just a little bit thicker and just a little heavier than the Huawei P20. Both devices we compare here work with Android operating system, but the Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better looking screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and way more pixels per inch in the display. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better processor than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics co-processor.

Huawei P20 features a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features just a bit longer battery performance than Huawei P20, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.

Xperia Z5 Premium takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, a F1.8 aperture, the same back camera sensor size and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P20. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Huawei P20, giving up a couple specifications.
