Comparison review

Xperia Z5 Premium is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, having a global score of 79.8 against 79.3. These phones come with the same Android 5.1 OS, so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding OS features. Even being the best cellphone in our current comparison, Xperia Z5 Premium's design is heavier and somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a brighter display than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way greater count of pixels per screen inch and a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a better storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 200 GB.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a greater performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more cpu cores (although they are slower) and a graphics co-processor. Xperia Z5 Premium captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a camera in the back with much more megapixels, a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a bigger sensor which gives a better image and video quality.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a little better battery life than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 3430mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs more money than Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S6 edge+. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, letting go a couple specs and features.
