The Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is a lot better than the Xiaomi Mi-3's 71.6 global score. The Galaxy A42 is a just a bit thicker and a lot heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Mi-3. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy A42 has older 11 version and Xiaomi Mi-3 has Android 4.4.2 version.
Xiaomi Mi-3 counts with a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixel density and a better 1920 x 1080 resolution.
