Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5, with a general score of 81.7 against 73.7. Xiaomi Mi 5 has just a bit better display than Galaxy S8, although it has a little bit lower display density, a little bit worse 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a quite smaller display. Samsung Galaxy S8 features a way bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Mi 5 has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU. Xiaomi Mi 5 features better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Galaxy S8 counts with a superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has a back-facing camera with a way worse resolution, it also counts with a larger camera aperture.
Even being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy S8 is also very cheap compared to the other devices, making it a great choice.
