The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is better than the Xiaomi Mi 5's general score of 73.7. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of cores.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has a lot better 2160 x 3840 resolution, a little bit larger display and a greater pixel number per inch in the screen. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a superior storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity. Xperia XZ2 Premium takes way better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back-facing camera with more MP.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi 5. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi 5, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
