Comparison review
Huawei P30 Lite has a global score of 77, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s's score of 76.4. Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P30 Lite has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, so it provides some additional features. The Huawei P30 Lite is a notably newer and a little thinner cellphone than Xiaomi Mi 5s, but it is also just a bit heavier.
The Huawei P30 Lite has a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei P30 Lite also has 4 more processing cores. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit better screen than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a quite higher screen density.
The Huawei P30 Lite counts with much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Huawei P30 Lite also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi 5s shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor which provides a worse image and video quality, a smaller diafragm aperture and a lot less megapixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 video definition.
Huawei P30 Lite has just a bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 3340mAh battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi 5s. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi 5s, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
