The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's score of 77.7. Both devices in this comparison use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo, providing the user some extra features and better performance.
