Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 5 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8, getting a score of 84.7 against 83.3. Although the Asus ROG Phone 5 is a lot newer than Xiaomi Mi 8, it is incredibly heavier and notably thicker. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with much more brightness, a quite better 1080 x 2448px resolution and a quite larger screen.
The Asus ROG Phone 5's processing unit is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8 one, and although the Asus ROG Phone 5 has 2 GB more RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 5, because it has more internal memory.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh. The Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a greater camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a same size aperture, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has a much bigger sensor, a much better 64 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a way higher video quality.
