Even though Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer is older than the Fairphone 5, it's construction is a little bit thinner and just a bit lighter. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has older 12 version while Fairphone 5 has Android 13.
The Fairphone 5 counts with a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. Fairphone 5 has a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, because although it has a little smaller display and less bright display, it also counts with a bit better pixels quantity per inch in the screen and a quite better resolution of 1224 x 2700.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer counts with a way better camera than Fairphone 5, because it has a lot better 200 mega pixels resolution back facing camera, a larger aperture to capture better captures in poorly lited situations and a larger back-facing camera sensor. Fairphone 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer both count with quite similar storage capacity to store more apps and games, both have exactly the same internal storage capacity.
