Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 has a score of 79.6, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro's 71.1 global score. Even though the Xperia XZ3 is older and thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, it's design is still just a bit lighter. The Xperia XZ3 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro works with Android OS.
Xperia XZ3 has a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen, a better resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a bit brighter display. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a little bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 512 GB.
The Xperia XZ3 features just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Xperia XZ3 has a very superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low light captures and videos and a way smaller back camera sensor giving a lot worse image quality, they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features greater battery performance than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 35% larger battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia XZ3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, giving up a couple features and specifications.
