Alcatel OneTouch IDOL 3 (4.7 inches) is a solid cellphone, featuring an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit running at 1200 megahertz, a 4.7 inches screen, a 13 megapixels back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front-facing camera. That's all? No, it's just the starting point of this extreme review.

While this cellphone is just 5.3" long and 2.59 inches wide, it manages to pack a 4.7 inches screen. This device is thin, with a thickness of just 0.3 inches.

This cellphone has a beautiful 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.7-inches screen, providing this device with a great graphical experience. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

Alcatel ships this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 system chip, backed up by a high-tech Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 1.2 GHz with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit poor considering its great processor. Graphic rendering often uses a lot of processor cycles, so it counts with an additional Adreno 306 graphic processing unit working at 450 MHz to improve overall performance. A good point of this phone is its quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and a slot for an external memory card, which allows you to install a couple hundred applications without any trouble.

This phone offers wi-fi connectivity (but it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) internet connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card to use GSM services.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 13 MP back facing camera and a 5 MP front facing camera. This phone can also film videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps.
