Apple iPhone 5 Review

Apple iPhone 5 is a top-level iOS device released back in 2012, with a 4-inches screen, an extremely powerful 1.3 GHz Dual-Core CPU, and two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front side camera.

Talking about its materials, this phone is manufactured with Aluminium, giving it a top level look and better resistance. This phone is just 0.3 inches thick, making it one of the thinnest cellphones out there. Apparently Apple decided not to care so much about the weight in this 3.95 ounces cellphone. This device is available in 2 different color options, black and white.

This cellphone ships with a very powerful Dual-Core processor running at 1300 MHz, packed into an Apple A6 system chip and only 1016 MB of RAM memory which is a bit low considering its awesome processing power. A key aspect of this cellphone is its large 64 GB internal storage and although it doesn't include a slot for an external memory card, it it is more than enough to install hundreds of applications without having to worry about running out of space.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front side camera. The Apple iPhone 5 also captures 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also has lots of valuable characteristics like auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization, time lapse video, HDR mode and geo tagging.

The Apple iPhone 5 includes a great 4-inches display with a 1136 x 640 resolution, giving this cellphone an amazing graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, with an incredible 500 candela/m² brightness and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone provides wifi capability (and it can be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high speed connectivity and also HSPA+ internet connection, that is a bit slower 4G technology and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, UMTS, EV-DO A, EV-DO B and EDGE technologies. The iPhone 5 uses a Nano SIM card for GSM services and it can use both GSM and CDMA networks.

This phone packs a 1440 mAh mid capacity Li-Polymer non-removable battery that provides this device a not very long battery duration. According to Apple, the iPhone 5 has a reported 8 hours talk time and a 225 hours stand by time. A key issue to consider is that this phone's battery is not replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it begins to lose its charge, having to buy a new phone to "solve it".

This phone also comes with a couple of interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This cellphone is not very cheap considering it costs $ 445, and other similar cellphones cost much less than that. This phone is probably the right one for you no matter if you will use it as a gaming phone, want a social cellphone, want it to take many pictures or need a phone for work.
