BlackBerry Storm 9500 is a quite basic phone released many years ago, having a 3.2" display and a 3.2 megapixels back camera. That's all? Not at all, it's just the starting point of this extreme review.
The BlackBerry Storm 9500 is a little thick compared to nowadays phones, being as thick as 0.54 inches. This device isn't a very compact cellphone, taking into account that it is 4.43" long, but it only packs a 3.2" screen. Blackberry forgot about weight optimization in this 5.47 ounces cellphone, much heavier than other similar devices.
Blackberry designed this cellphone with an average 3.2-inches display, and a resolution of 480 x 360 , which makes all photos and videos look nice. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, but it's not multi-touch.
The BlackBerry Storm 9500 counts with a little 1 GB internal memory, which could be adequate for some users knowing that it also has a slot for SD memory cards to store pictures and videos.
This cellphone has only a 3.2 megapixels back side camera. To complete the camera, it also includes flash and auto-focus.
This device features a 1400 mAh medium Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, but you may need to charge it even after moderate usage. Blackberry informs a 5.5 hs talk time and a 360 hours stand by time for this device.
The BlackBerry Storm 9500 counts with fast 3G internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card for GSM carriers.
The BlackBerry Storm 9500 also features some cool characteristics like Bluetooth (allows communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories) and GPS, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.
Blackberry is selling this phone for $ 199, which is a really high price for comparing with similar phones.
