BLU Life Play S Review

BLU Life Play S is a decently made phone, featuring a high performance 1300 megahertz Quad-Core processing unit, a 4.7" touch-screen, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front camera. BLU sells this cellphone with a Mediatek MT6582 system chip, which holds an exceptional 1300 megahertz Quad-Core processing unit and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit poor considering its awesome processor. Graphic intensive applications and games generally uses a lot of CPU time, so it also has a 500 megahertz ARM Mali-400 GPU to take some work out of the CPU. This phone has a decent 4 GB internal memory, which is adequate for the average user having that this cellphone also has a slot for external memory cards to store photographs and videos and even some apps and games that allow external memory installation.

Although the BLU Life Play S is just 5.41" long and 2.66" wide, it's able to fit a a 4.7" screen. Being just 0.31" thick,this cellphone is very thin and practical. The BLU Life Play S is sold in two colors, blue and white. This device feels much lighter than what you expect from a device like this.

The BLU Life Play S has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front-facing camera. This phone can also film videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this phone's camera also has lots of great characteristics like flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

BLU packed the BLU Life Play S with a gorgeous 4.7" screen, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), providing this phone with a delightful graphic quality. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone has a 1800 mAh medium sized Li-Ion non-removable battery providing this cellphone with a quite short battery duration. BLU informs a stand by time of 780 hs and a talk time of 18 hs for this cellphone. A big issue to evaluate is that this phone's battery isn't removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts losing capacity, having to buy a new device to "solve it".

This cellphone provides wi-fi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The BLU Life Play S comes with 2 SIM cards so it's able to use two different phone numbers or carriers.

This phone also features a handful of useful characteristics like Bluetooth (provides communication with other phones, computers and accessories), GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The BLU Life Play S is not very cheap considering it is sold for $ 249, while many similar devices are a lot cheaper than that.
