LG Lucid Review

(VS840) Score: 57.3 / 100

LG Lucid is a mid level device released some years ago, in 2012, which features a 4-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a fast 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Let's take a better view of what this device can give us.

LG sells the LG Lucid with a powerful 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processing unit with 1 GB RAM memory. This cellphone counts with an 8 GB interesting internal storage and an external memory card slot, which allows you to store a couple hundred applications and games without any problem.

This cellphone is thin and looks really nice, whereas it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.45 inches. LG didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5 oz cellphone.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front facing camera. This cellphone also films videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). Additionally, this cellphone's camera also features some nice characteristics like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

LG equipped the LG Lucid with a good looking 4-inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the display. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The LG Lucid offers WiFi connection (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed data connection and 3G connectivity, over EV-DO A technologies. The LG Lucid doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks and it works in CDMA carriers.

The LG Lucid also comes with some useful characteristics such as Bluetooth and GPS Geolocation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone uses a good 1700 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding phone like this. This phone has an estimated 350 hours stand by time and a 8 hours talk time.

The LG Lucid is being sold for about $ 225, a very high price for this type of device. It doesn't matter whether you will use this device majorly for social networks or want a cellphone for gaming, you will probably be very happy with this phone.
