Sony Xperia TX Review

Sony Xperia TX is a high quality Android cellphone released many years ago, with a very powerful Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1.5 GHz, a 4.6-inches multi-touch screen, and 2 cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. This cellphone is much lighter than what one would think about a phone like this. Sony made this phone in three colors: black, pink and white. The Sony Xperia TX is only 5.16 inches long and 2.7" wide, but it's able to fit a a 4.6 inches screen. Being just 0.34" thick,this cellphone is thin and good-looking.

Sony designed this phone with an astonishing 4.6 inches display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes it impossible to even see the pixels taking part of the display. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

Sony decided to power this cellphone with an extremely powerful Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.5 GHz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8260A system chip and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit disappointing considering its powerful CPU. Graphic intensive tasks usually uses a lot of CPU cycles, so this phone has an extra 400 megahertz Adreno 225 GPU to help with that calculations. A good point of this phone is its big 16 GB internal storage memory and a slot for external memory cards, allowing the user to install hundreds of applications without any trouble.

The Sony Xperia TX has wi-fi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 13 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera. It is capable of capturing 1920x1080 Full HD videos. This cellphone also features some nice characteristics like flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, geo tagging and face detection shooting.

This device has a 1750 mAh medium battery, which is quite poor for a phone like this. This phone has a reported talk time of 6.7 hours and a stand by time of 300 hs according to Sony.

This cellphone also features a couple of useful features as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Sony is selling this cellphone for 195 dollars, which is a high price for comparing with similar phones.
