BLU Life Play X Review

BLU Life Play X is a mid-to-low level Android cellphone, equipped with a 4.7" capacitive touch-screen, a high-tech 1500 MHz Quad-Core processor, an 8 MP back side camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. But let's get into more detail.

The BLU Life Play X is very slim and good-looking, with a thickness of just 0.31 inches. This cellphone only has 5.39" long, but it still manages to hold a 4.7" screen. The BLU Life Play X is much lighter than what you expect from a cellphone of this size. This phone is available only in color black.

BLU equipped this cellphone with an astonishing 4.7" display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, giving this cellphone a very detailed graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

BLU decided to power this cellphone using an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1500 MHz, packed into the Mediatek MT6589T system chip and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit disappointing for a phone this good. Graphic intensive apps usually uses a lot of processor cycles, so the BLU Life Play X also has a 384 megahertz PowerVR SGX544 GPU to help the processor with those tasks. This phone counts with an interesting 16 GB internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card, which allows the user to install a couple hundred games and applications without any problem.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera. This cellphone can also film 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 frames per second. To complete the camera, it also counts with a lot of useful characteristics: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

The BLU Life Play X uses a 1800 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, although you will probably find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. BLU afirms this cellphone has a talk time of 18 hs and a stand by time of 780 hs.

This phone counts with WiFi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a modem), HSPA+ 4G data connection, which is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The BLU Life Play X supports dual sim cards so it is able to use two different phone lines or carriers.

This phone also includes a couple cool features such as Bluetooth (for communication with other phones and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is priced about 249 dollars, not a really offer for a phone this level.
