BLU Life Play X Review

BLU Life Play X is a decent quality cellphone, counting with a medium 4.7 inches touch-screen, a high-tech 1500 MHz Quad-Core CPU, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera. We will get a better idea about this phone's specs when we get into specific details.

This phone ships with a high speed 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, bundled in a Mediatek MT6589T chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little poor for a phone of this quality. Graphic rendering generally uses a lot of CPU time, so it also also has a 384 megahertz PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit to improve overall performance. This phone comes with a quite large 16 GB internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card, enough to install hundreds of applications without any problem.

This cellphone feels much lighter than what you would expect from a phone this size. The BLU Life Play X is just 5.39 inches long, but it is able to fit a a 4.7" screen. The BLU Life Play X is very thin and practical, being just 0.31 inches thick. BLU only sells the BLU Life Play X in black color.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 MP front camera. It is capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps. This camera also features a high number of amazing features like flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone includes an amazing 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.7" display, giving this phone a high level graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The BLU Life Play X includes WiFi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast data connection, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone comes with two SIM cards so it is able to work with 2 different phone numbers and even different carriers at the same time.

The BLU Life Play X also includes some nice characteristics like Bluetooth (for communication with other cellphones and accessories) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone comes with a medium 1800 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate use. BLU afirms this phone has a 780 hours stand by time and a 18 hours talk time.

The BLU Life Play X is not very cheap considering it costs $ 165, while some similar cellphones are sold for much less than that.
