BLU Sport 4.5 Review

BLU Sport 4.5 is a mid-to-low level Android phone, which features a 4.5-inches multi touch screen, a high speed Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1.3 GHz, and 2 cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. This cellphone is available in two colors, black and white. This phone doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone of this size, with a weight of 5.54 ounces. The BLU Sport 4.5 is quite thin and practical, whereas it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.43".

BLU designed the BLU Sport 4.5 with a good looking 4.5" display, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , providing this phone with a very good image quality. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

BLU ships this cellphone with a great 1300 MHz Quad-Core processing unit and only 512 MB of RAM which is a little low for a device this good. Collaborating with graphic rendering, the BLU Sport 4.5 also uses an ARM Mali-400 GPU speeding at 500 MHz. This cellphone comes with an average 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering that it also has a slot for external memory cards to store songs, pictures and videos.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. It can also shoot HD 1280x720 videos at 30 frames per second. This phone also has a couple of interesting characteristics like flash, auto-focus, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone packs a good 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides the BLU Sport 4.5 a not very long battery duration. According to BLU, this device has a reported 930 hours stand by time and a 28 hours talk time.

This cellphone offers WiFi connectivity (and it can provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ internet connection, that is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone comes with two SIM cards so it is able to work with two different carriers or phone numbers.

This cellphone also includes some nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth cellphones and accessories), GPS and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is very overvalued considering it is sold for $ 249, while some similar phones are a lot cheaper than that.
