Dell Venue Pro Review

16 GB     See other variants reviews Score: 50.6 / 100

Dell Venue Pro is a decent cellphone released back in the year 2010, having a great performance processor ticking at 1000 megahertz, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 4.1 inches multi-touch screen.

Dell equipped this phone with a powerful CPU running at 1 GHz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8250 chip and 512 MB of RAM. Graphic calculations usually uses lots of processor time, so the Dell Venue Pro also also has a 128 MHz Adreno 200 GPU to help the processor with those tasks. A good point of this device is its quite big 16 GB internal memory and although it doesn't have a slot for an external memory card, it should be enough to store a couple hundred apps, but it may not be enough if you are planning to install a couple of the largest games currently available or taking tons of pictures and videos.

This device is a little bit thick for nowadays standards, with a thickness of 0.59". This cellphone feels a bit heavy for a cellphone this size, with a weight of 6.74 ounces.

This phone is equipped with only a 5 mega-pixels back side camera. It is also able to film 1280x720 HD videos at 24 frames per second. Additionally, this phone's camera also features flash and auto-focus.

Dell equipped this phone with a good looking 4.1-inches display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , making everything look great. Its display uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This phone features a mid sized 1400 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides the Dell Venue Pro a not very long battery duration comparing with other similar devices. Dell reports a talk time of 7 hs and a stand by time of 336 hours for this cellphone.

The Dell Venue Pro counts with wi-fi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Dell Venue Pro uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also includes a few nice characteristics like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Localization and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is priced about $ 275, which is not a really offer for a cellphone this level.
