Dell Venue Pro is a not so powerful device released in October 2010, provisioned with a medium sized 4.1 inches multi-touch display, a 5 megapixels back camera and a fast 1000 MHz processor.
Dell didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 6.74 oz device, far heavier than other similar devices. This cellphone is a bit thick for nowadays standards, being as thick as 0.59 inches.
Dell decided to equip this device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8250 chip, packing a great performance processing unit clocking at 1000 megahertz and 512 MB of RAM memory. To handle graphic calculations, this cellphone also has a 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphic processing unit. This phone counts with an 8 GB quite large internal memory and even though it doesn't have an SD card slot, it should be enough to install a couple hundred games and applications, but it probably wouldn't be enough if you are planning to install some of the largest games available nowadays.
This cellphone has a interesting 800 x 480 4.1" screen, giving this phone a good graphic quality. This screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
The Dell Venue Pro only features a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera. This device can also shoot HD 1280x720 videos at 24 fps. This camera also includes flash and auto-focus.
This cellphone includes wifi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) and fast 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM services.
The Dell Venue Pro has a 1400 mAh medium Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides the Dell Venue Pro a quite short battery life. According to Dell, this phone has an estimated 7 hours talk time and a 336 hours stand by time.
The Dell Venue Pro also comes with a couple cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
Dell is offering the Dell Venue Pro for $ 299, which is not cheap for comparing with similar cellphones.
