LG Thrill 4G is a mid-end device launched in March 2011, which counts with a 5 megapixels back facing camera, a 1000 megahertz Dual-Core processor and a 4.3-inches multi touch screen. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the introduction of a much deeper review.
LG didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.93 ounces phone.
LG packed this phone with a good looking 4.3 inches screen, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look vivid. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
LG decided to build this cellphone using a fast 1 GHz Dual-Core CPU, packed into a TI OMAP 4430 chip with 512 MB of RAM. Collaborating with graphic rendering, it also has a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX540 graphic processing unit. A good feature of this device is its quite large 8 GB internal storage and an external memory card slot, enough to install hundreds of apps and games without worrying about space.
This cellphone provides WiFi connection (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The LG Thrill 4G uses a SIM card to use GSM services.
This cellphone only features a 5 megapixels back-facing camera. the LG Thrill 4G's back-facing camera has a maximum f/2.8 aperture so it has problems taking sharp photographs in dark environments. The LG Thrill 4G can also shoot videos in Full HD 1920x1080. This camera also features flash and auto-focus.
This phone comes with a 1500 mAh medium sized Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite poor for a cellphone like this. According to LG, this cellphone has a reported 6 hs talk time and a 312 hours stand by time.
This phone also includes a few cool features as Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
LG is offering the LG Thrill 4G for $ 140, which is not a good offer for this type of cellphone. This cellphone is the correct choice for you if you need a phone to mainly use social networks and internet browsing.
