HTC Desire 616 is a mid level Android device released in 2014, packed with a very powerful Octa-Core processing unit speeding at 1.4 gigahertz, a 5" multi-touch screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Great! That's it? No, it's just the beginning of this extreme review.
This phone has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.36 inches. Although this device is only 5.59 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 5" display. This cellphone feels much lighter than what you would expect from a cellphone like this.
This device has a good level 1280 x 720 (HD) 5 inches screen, making everything look colorful and brightful.
HTC decided to power this cellphone with a Mediatek MT6592 system chip, packing a great Octa-Core processing unit running at 1.4 GHz. Helping with graphic rendering, it also has a 700 MHz ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU. This phone has areasonable 4 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for most users considering it also has a slot for an SD memory card .
This phone includes wi-fi connection (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast connectivity, using HSDPA technologies. The HTC Desire 616 comes with 2 SIM cards so it's able to use two different phone lines in the same cellphone.
This phone features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. This cellphone can also capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos. In addition, the camera features flash.
This phone features a mid sized 2000 mAh Li-Polymer battery that can keep this phone running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate use.
This device also comes with some nice features like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone is priced $ 249, which is very expensive for comparing with other similar phones. If you need a device mostly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely love this cellphone.
