Acer Liquid E2 Review

See other variants reviews Score: 55.6 / 100

Acer Liquid E2 is a solid cellphone launched many years ago, packed with a very fast 1200 MHz Quad-Core CPU, a medium 4.5 inches screen, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera.

Acer decided to equip this phone with a MediaTek MT6589 chip, backed up by an extremely powerful 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit poor comparing with its great processing power. Graphic rendering often eats a lot of processing power, so it uses an extra 200 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU to take some work out of the CPU. This phone comes with a 4 GB internal storage memory, a medium quantity that should be fine for the average user considering that it also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store songs, photographs and videos and even some apps that can be installed in the external memory.

This cellphone is extremely slim, being just 0.39 inches thick. This phone is a very compact device, considering it presents a 4.5 inches screen and it is only 5.16" long. This device is a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.94 ounces. This phone is sold in two different colors, black and white.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It is capable of filming videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. In addition, this phone's camera also includes some interesting features: auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

This phone has a good level 960 x 540 4.5" screen, giving this phone a good graphical experience. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This cellphone features a 2000 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery providing the Acer Liquid E2 with a not very long battery life. This phone has a reported 450 hs stand by time and a 9 hours talk time.

This phone counts with Wi-Fi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Acer Liquid E2 uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

This phone also comes with a handful of interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth phones and accessories), GPS Localization and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Acer is offering this cellphone for $ 249, which is expensive for a cellphone this level. It doesn't matter whether you will use this cellphone to play games or need a cellphone to mostly use social networks and internet browsing, you will definitely be very happy with it.
