HTC Desire 601 Review

HTC Desire 601 is a mid-end Android cellphone released some years ago, in 2013, including a high-tech Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1400 MHz, a 4.5-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, and two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

HTC sells this device with a very powerful 1400 MHz Dual-Core processing unit, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing for such a solid cellphone. Handling graphic calculations, this device also counts with an Adreno 305 GPU ticking at 450 MHz. The HTC Desire 601 comes with an interesting 8 GB internal memory and an SD extension slot, which allows you to store hundreds of apps without any trouble.

This device is slim and good-looking, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches. HTC did a great design job making the HTC Desire 601 as lightweight as 4.59 ounces.

This phone includes a good looking 960 x 540 4.5" screen, giving this cellphone a good graphical experience. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The HTC Desire 601 provides WiFi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G fast connection type and also HSPA+ internet connection, which is a lower speed 4G variation and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The HTC Desire 601 uses a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. This cellphone can also film videos in Full HD 1920x1080. To complete the camera, it also includes a lot of great characteristics: flash, auto-focus, fast burst mode, digital image stabilization, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone also includes some cool features like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone features a 2100 mAh great Li-Polymer removable battery that provides this cellphone a good battery duration.

HTC is offering the HTC Desire 601 for $ 185, which is not a really offer for a device this level. This cellphone is the right one no matter if you want a social phone, want it for work or need a phone for playing games.
