HTC Windows Phone 8S is a nice phone released back in the year 2012, provisioned with a 5 MP back facing camera, a 1 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU and a medium 4 inches multi-touch screen.
HTC decided to sell this device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8627 system chip, holding a powerful Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1 gigahertz and 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering often eats a lot of processing time, so this phone counts with an additional 450 MHz Adreno 305 graphics processing unit to help the processor with those tasks. An interesting feature of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and an SD memory slot, allowing the user to store hundreds of applications and games without worrying about space.
HTC offers this device in a nice range of color variations: black, blue, red and gray. This cellphone feels much lighter than what you would expect from a device of this size. This phone is quite slim and practical, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest phones you can find, with a thickness of 0.4".
This cellphone is only equipped with a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. Its back-facing camera has a f/2.8 aperture so it has a lot of trouble taking sharp photographs in poor lighting environments. It can also film 1280x720 HD videos at 30 frames per second. In addition, this device's camera also features a couple of nice characteristics: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.
The HTC Windows Phone 8S has a interesting 4-inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look great. Its screen uses S-LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
This phone has wi-fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks and it works with both GSM and CDMA.
This cellphone packs a 1700 mAh mid capacity Li-Polymer removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding device like this.
This cellphone also includes a couple nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This device is not very cheap considering it is offerred for $ 199, while other similar phones are a lot cheaper than that. No matter if you want this phone for gaming or need a phone majorly for internet broswing and social networks, you will probably be very pleased with it.
