Huawei Ascend G615 Review

Huawei Ascend G615 is a little outdated phone, counting with a 4.5 inches display, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.4 gigahertz, an 8 MP back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera. Great! That's it? No, it's only the starting point of this extreme review.

Huawei sells the Huawei Ascend G615 with a high speed 1.4 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU, packed into a HiSilicon K3V2 system chip and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little poor for a cellphone this powerful.

This time, it seems like Huawei forgot about optimizing the weight in this 5.11 oz device. This phone's thickness of 0.41 inches is quite far from current standards, but it still feels fine in the hand. This phone is offerred in 2 different colors, black and white.

The Huawei Ascend G615 has a high-tech 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.5 inches display, which makes everything look perfect. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It is capable of shooting videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD). The camera also includes some good characteristics: flash, auto-focus and HDR mode.

This device counts with an amazing 2150 mAh Li-Polymer battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you may find yourself looking for a place to charge it if you use it heavily. This cellphone has an aproximate stand by time of 360 hours and a talk time of 11 hs.

This phone has Wi-Fi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This device also comes with a few useful characteristics as Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories), GPS Navigation and Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Huawei is offering this phone for 249 dollars, which is a really high price for this type of cellphone. It doesn't matter whether you will use it as a social cellphone or want a cellphone for gaming, you will probably love this phone.
