Huawei Ascend P2 Review

Huawei Ascend P2 is a complete Android cellphone released many years ago, equipped with a medium 4.7 inches touch-screen, a high-tech 1500 MHz Quad-Core processor, and two cameras, a 13 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera.

The Huawei Ascend P2 feels much lighter than what one would expect from a cellphone this size. The Huawei Ascend P2 just has 5.36 inches long and 2.63" wide, but it's able to fit a a 4.7 inches display. The Huawei Ascend P2 is incredibly thin and stilized, being just 0.33" thick.

Huawei ships this phone with a Huawei K3V2 system chip, packing a high speed Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.5 gigahertz and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing comparing with the Huawei Ascend P2's impressive processor. A nice advantage of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite big internal memory and whereas it doesn't count with an external memory card slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred apps and games, although it might not be enough if you are planning to install some of the largest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

Huawei equipped this cellphone with an absolutely amazing 4.7" display, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), giving this phone a high level graphic quality. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This device counts with wifi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), 4G LTE high performance data connection and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

The Huawei Ascend P2 is equipped with two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. This device also captures videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second. This camera also features some interesting features like flash, auto-focus, HDR mode, digital image stabilization and geo tagging.

This device also features a handful of interesting features like NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The Huawei Ascend P2 packs a large 2420 mAh non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this cellphone with an impressive battery life. This device has an estimated 269 hs stand by time and a 16.7 hs talk time according to Huawei. An issue to consider is that the Huawei Ascend P2's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to lose its charge, while with so much capacity you will probably replace this cellphone before that becomes a real problem.

This cellphone is very expensive considering it is offerred for $ 249, while some similar phones cost a lot less than that. No matter if you will use it majorly for internet broswing and social networks, want a gaming phone, want a phone for work or you love taking photographs, this cellphone is probably a great option for you.
