Huawei Mercury Review

Huawei Mercury is a decent quality device launched back in the year 2011, equipped with a 4-inches multi-touch display, a powerful 1.4 GHz CPU, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front side camera.

Huawei decided to build this device with a powerful processor clocking at 1.4 gigahertz with 512 MB of RAM memory. The Huawei Mercury comes with a 2 GB internal memory, a common amount that should be enough for the average user knowing that the Huawei Mercury also has an external memory card slot to store songs, photographs and videos.

Apparently Huawei forgot about optimizing the weight in this 4.9 oz cellphone.

The Huawei Mercury has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. This device can also film HD 1280x720 videos. This camera also counts with flash.

Huawei designed this cellphone with a very good 4 inches display, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , giving this phone a very good graphical experience. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone features wi-fi connection (which it can provide to other devices acting as a modem or router) and 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This phone doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM networks and it works in CDMA carriers.

The Huawei Mercury packs a 1900 mAh medium Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is not really enough for a cellphone like this. Huawei reports a stand by time of 380 hs and a talk time of 6.5 hours for this cellphone.

This cellphone also includes a couple of nice characteristics like Bluetooth (enables communication with other phones, computers and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Huawei Mercury is very overvalued considering it costs 115 dollars, while some similar phones are being sold for much less than that.
