Huawei U8100 Review

Huawei U8100 is a low end Android device launched some years ago, in 2010, featuring a 3.2 MP back camera and a small 2.8" screen. That's all? Not at all, it's just the introduction.

Huawei appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 3.67 ounces cellphone. While this phone is as big as 4.23" long and 2.24 inches wide, it only holds a much smaller 2.8" screen. This phone is quite thick compared to nowadays cellphones, being as thick as 0.54 inches.

This cellphone only has a 3.2 mega-pixels back side camera.

The Huawei U8100 has a interesting 320 x 240 (QVGA) 2.8" screen, making everything look quite nice. This screen uses TFT yes technology, but it's not multi-touch.

This phone uses a 1150 mAh small capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is not really enough for a thirsty phone like this. Huawei reports a 4.5 hours talk time and a 240 hs stand by time for this cellphone.

This phone counts with wifi connection (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This phone also comes with some useful features as Bluetooth, GPS and Radio, and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is very expensive considering it is sold for $ 100, and many similar cellphones are being sold much cheaper than that.
