Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Review

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a low level phone launched in 2009, provisioned with a powerful CPU ticking at 434 MHz, a 2.9 inches resistive display and a 3.2 mega-pixels back camera. Let's take a deeper look at what this phone can give us.

Nokia decided to sell this cellphone with a powerful processing unit ticking at 434 megahertz with as little as 128 MB RAM. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic counts with a 71,68 MB internal storage memory, a mediocre quantity that could be enough for some users having that it also has an external memory slot to store pictures and videos and even some applications that can be installed in the external memory.

This phone is a bit thick compared to nowadays cellphones, with a thickness of 0.51". This device is 4.09" long and 1.93 inches wide, but it's only able to pack a smaller 2.9" display. Nokia forgot about weight optimization in this 3.77 ounces cellphone, way heavier than other similar cellphones.

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has a nice 2.9-inches screen with a 640 x 360 resolution, which makes all images and videos look colorful and brightful. Its screen uses TFT resistive technology, but it can't detect multi touch gestures.

This phone only has a 3.2 megapixels back-facing camera. Additionally, the camera counts with a few nice characteristics like auto-focus, flash and digital image stabilization.

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic features a low capacity 1000 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite poor for a demanding phone like this. According to Nokia, this device has an estimated talk time of 4.9 hours and a stand by time of 336 hours.

This phone provides wi-fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connection type, over EDGE technologies. This device works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This phone also features Bluetooth (provides communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is priced $ 79, which is not a good offer for a cellphone this level.
