Kyocera Brigadier Review

Kyocera Brigadier is an interesting phone, equipped with an extremely powerful 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, a medium 4.5" screen, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. But it's time to get into more details.

This phone ships with a very fast Quad-Core CPU running at 1.4 gigahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 8928 chip and a big 2 GB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually eats a lot of processor cycles, so it uses a 450 megahertz Adreno 305 GPU to take some work out of the processor. A good advantage of this phone is its big 16 GB internal storage memory and an external memory card slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred apps and games without any problem.

This cellphone is a little thick compared to today's devices, with its 0.52 inches thickness. This cellphone feels quite heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 6.6 ounces. Kyocera only offers the Kyocera Brigadier in black color.

The Kyocera Brigadier is equipped with an absolutely amazing 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.5 inches display, giving this phone a perfect image quality.

The Kyocera Brigadier offers WiFi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high performance data connection and fast 3G connection type, over HSPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Nano SIM card for GSM carriers and it works with both CDMA and GSM networks.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. This phone also shoots Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. This phone also features a couple of interesting features like auto-focus, flash, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone packs an awesome 3100 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this cellphone with an incredibly long battery duration. Kyocera afirms this cellphone has a talk time of 20 hs and a stand by time of 365 hours. An issue to take into consideration is that the Kyocera Brigadier's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it starts to get older, even though with its 3100 mAh you will probably replace this cellphone before it happens.

This cellphone also includes a lot of useful characteristics as Wireless charging system, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth cellphones and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer and Compass.

This cellphone is not a very good choice considering it is offerred for $ 389, while other similar phones are being sold much cheaper than that. It doesn't matter whether you are looking for a work cellphone, are looking for a cellphone mainly for internet broswing and social networks or want a gamer phone, you will probably be very pleased with it. If you buy the Kyocera Brigadier you also get Micro-USB data cable, AC charger (Micro-USB data cable pluggable) and Pre-installed SIM card.
