Lenovo S860 Review

Lenovo S860 is a good quality cellphone launched back in 2014, coming with a high-tech 1300 megahertz Quad-Core processing unit, a pretty large 5.3-inches multi-touch screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 1.6 mega-pixels front-facing camera. We will get a better understanding of this device's wonders when we get into deeper details.

Talking about its materials, this cellphone is built with Aluminium, which gives it a high quality finish and an extra resistance. The Lenovo S860 is a very compact phone, considering it features a 5.3 inches screen and it is just 5.89" long. Being just 0.39" thick,this cellphone is extremely thin and stilized. Lenovo just offers the Lenovo S860 in gray color. This phone doesn't feel very lightweight comparing to other cellphones , weighting 6.7 ounces.

This cellphone comes with a high performance 1300 MHz Quad-Core CPU, packed into a MediaTek 6582 system chip with a large 2 GB of RAM. To handle graphic calculations, this phone also has a 500 MHz ARM Mali-400 graphics processing unit. An interesting feature of this cellphone is its quite big 16 GB internal memory and even though it doesn't include an external SD slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred applications, although it probably wouldn't be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 1.6 megapixels front side camera. This phone also counts with flash and auto-focus.

The Lenovo S860 includes a very good 5.3-inches display with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, giving this cellphone a detailed image quality. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone has WiFi connection (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem), 4G (HSPA+) data connection, that is not so fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device comes with two SIM cards to be able to to work with 2 different phone lines or carriers.

The Lenovo S860 also comes with a couple of interesting features as Bluetooth (for communication with other phones and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Lenovo S860 counts with an amazing 4000 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it at all. Lenovo says this phone has a 43 hours talk time and a 960 hours stand by time. An issue to consider is that the Lenovo S860's battery is non-removable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins losing capacity, although with such a big battery you will probably discard this device before it becomes a real problem.

This cellphone is being sold for about 210 dollars, which is not a good offer for this type of phone. If you need this phone for work, will use it as a social device or are looking for a gamer phone, you will definitely be very pleased with it.
