LG Quantum Review

(C900) Score: 53.6 / 100

LG Quantum is a fair quality Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device released in 2010, packed with a processor clocking at 1000 megahertz, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a medium sized 3.5" capacitive display.

LG decided to build this cellphone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8250 system chip, holding a fast 1 GHz CPU and 512 MB of RAM memory. To handle graphic calculations, the LG Quantum also has a 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphic processing unit. A nice point of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and even though it doesn't have an external SD slot, it should be enough to install hundreds of apps, but it may not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.

This cellphone is 4.7" long, it just holds a way smaller 3.5 inches display. The LG Quantum is a little bit thick for today's standards, with a thickness of 0.6". This cellphone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 6.21 ounces.

The LG Quantum is equipped with a very good 800 x 480 3.5-inches display, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels composing the display. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This device has wi-fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone has only a 5 mega-pixels back side camera. It is capable of shooting HD 1280x720 videos at 24 frames per second. In addition, this cellphone's camera also counts with flash.

This phone packs a 1500 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this device running for some hours, but you may need to charge it even after moderate usage. This phone has an estimated 350 hours stand by time and a 7 hs talk time according to LG.

The LG Quantum also features some nice features like Bluetooth, GPS Localization and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

LG is offering the LG Quantum for 680 dollars, which is a high price for comparing with other similar cellphones.
